Who we are
As well as working with freelancers and other companies, Honey Bee Pictures is founded and run by husband and wife filmmaking team, Jacob & Honey.
With a range of experience across scripted & non-scripted content in broadcast and online media, Jacob & Honey started the company in 2018 and continue to deliver content to clients and produce documentaries with an ethnographic and intimate feel.
A qualified pilot, Honey began training as a commercial pilot before changing direction and entering TV production, studying Film & TV at York St John University.
An illustrator & photographer, Honey edits all our films and video content, with a background in art & design and the inspiration beind the name.
Born in North Yorkshire and raised in London, passionate about horses, women’s rights, animal welfare and making clothes for her husband.
An award winning documentary filmmaker & experienced drone operator, Jacob holds a 1st class degree in filmmaking from Kingston University and studied documentary filmmaking as a post grad at the New York Film Academy.
Aside from Honey Bee Pictures, Jacob freelances in TV as a Producer Director, currently working on Channel 5’s The Yorkshire Vet.
Born and raised in North Yorkshire, passionate about film history, traditional crafts & industries, animal welfare and wearing clothes made by his wife.
